"How to Build Confidence and Royal Self-Esteem in Your Little Princess"

This is the tale of a young girl who lived in a small Mennonite Village in Paraguay, who dreamed of standing out a princess and conquer the world!
She grew up surrounded by loving parents, a little brother and grandparents, even great grandparents. She knew she was loved and wanted. Her Dad was her hero. After she was born, he had celebrated when he found out it was a girl.
Her parents lovingly taught her many valuable things, like how important it is for our family to stay together, to work hard, to learn biblical truths and values, as well as the value our history and traditions. She learned about the great legacy of her grandparents who had left the communist system in Russia in order to save their lives and their Christian faith. She was proud to be part of this story. She loved her Pony. Most of all, she loved to read and to dream. In her mind she always wrote stories about her adventures. Her favorite stories were fairy tales and she always identified with the princess in the story. When getting older, she was fascinated about learning more about the world and dreamed of traveling and of learning English.
♦What was wrong in this perfect world?
Nothing.
And still, she felt something was missing. She wanted to be admired as princess and that, so she was taught, was something NOT good. Even her teacher came once to admonish her parents: “She thinks, she is a princess! Teach her to come down to earth!”
Getting older, she always felt this conflict within her. She had so many dreams, she wanted to stand out as the beautiful princess, but she believed she was not worthy to be one. It robed her many years of meaningful life. She was struggling with lack of confidence, lack of self-worth, lack of true fulfillment, and most of all lack of beauty. She felt like dying on the inside: empty, dry, no vision for a better future.
♦This girl was me.
I was 38 years old, when I finally started to realize, it´s okay to stand out and to be unique, to be different. But it took another 20 years to actually say with confidence: “Yes, I am a girl from the village, but I am now ready to conquer my stage. The world is my stage now.”
♦How about you?

♦Today, when old triggers pop up, I remind myself of my new STORY:
- I am who He, my Creator, says I am
- I am wonderfully made with an original purpose
- I am worthy to be the princess and to share my message, my story, to inspire others
- I know enough to get started and I will improve while being on my way
- I am equipped enough
- I am prepared enough to serve the people around me
- I will keep the attitude of a lifelong learner and serve women with everything I´ve learned in this process
- I strive for excellence, but I don´t do perfection and overwhelm
- I am more than a conqueror in Christ (Rom 8:37)
- I am confident, because I´m in divine partnership with my heavenly Partner and Lover Jesus Christ
- I keep moving forward, no matter how messy and imperfect it can be sometimes, I will show up and do it anyway.
